1.He loves me. Even if I look like an ogre in that green dress:
Yes, love is unconditional and the very reason you love your guy is because he respects your individuality, your style and loves you no matter what. Whether you are dressed in a designer gown or in the shabbiest PJs – you are his princess. Yes, we know that. Still, there’s no harm in dressing up for your man. If he says a particular shade of nail colour, wear it for him. If he says a particular dress does nothing for your figure, chuck it right away. Don’t mistake dressing up with him judging you. He loves you, he sure does. But why shouldn’t he want his girl to look good.
2.Men are meant to pamper women:
What makes you think that men don’t like to be spoilt silly? They love chocolate as much as a woman does. If not chocolate, then gift him some coffee – pure, Caribbean blend coffee! Foot massage, hot chocolate, impromptu picnics, a good read – men love all these just like a woman does. Women often overlook the fact that while they enjoy receiving gifts, they should return the favour as well. Buy gifts when you feel like it, and surprise your man. Don’t wait for an occasion to make him feel special
3.Men don’t cry: Outdated this as this idea is, it should be forgotten right away. What’s wrong with men showing their emotional side? They get hurt, they get sentimental. They can go awww when they see a cute little baby. They can get emotional when they see a child beggar. Things hurt them and affect them. Maybe they don’t cry as often, nor do they look visibly sad – but they are thinking, feeling, emotional beings too. So the next time your guy is feeling a bit blue, go and comfort him. Hug and pamper him. Console him, and make him fall in love with you again.
4. He is perfect…after I make a gazillion changes about the was he is:What’s with women always trying to change men! You fell in love with him, right? That implies that you love him for the person he is – his dressing sense, body language, his mannerisms etc. Then why do you want to mould him into a completely different person once you start dating him? Let him be the awesome person he always has been.
5.Reading between the lines:
Men mean what they say. Every word. They do not beat around the bush. Women tend to drop hints, say things about what they mean, without actually saying it in words. Women do that, not men. So stop reading between the lines about whatever he says. If he says he is caught up in traffic, then he is caught up in traffic. No, he isn’t ignoring you.
6.Challenging his machoism:
Men like to work with their hands. Whether it fixing a leaking tap or polishing the dinner table, men love doing tasks like these. They also do not like backseat driving. That’s how they are wired. So stop challenging them and let them take the front seat. Just because he lost his way around once does not mean that he is a bad driver.
7Men can multitask…not really:
You know who can watch a movie, understand each and every dialogue, while folding a basket of laundry, and eat a tub of popcorn, and talk with their best friend on the phone? A woman! They can do all this and much more at the same time. They are geniuses when it comes to multi-tasking. Men, on the other hand, have a sort of one track mind. They can take care of only one or two tasks at a time. If you expect your husband/ boyfriend to pay attention to your gossip while he watches the sports channel, you might as well be talking to a wall!
