Akothee has vehemently refuted rumours that she would run for Migori Women Representative seat on a Jubilee Party ticket in 2017 general election.
Recently, a poster of Akothee informing Kenyans of her political bid went viral on social media, consequently raising myriad questions on the information’s authenticity, given Akothee’s close relationship with Opposition leader Raila Odinga.
Akothee says those fuelling the false reports are “jealous of her success”.
An irritated Akothee took to her Instagram page on Tuesday to send a stern warning to the people behind the false claims.
“Everyone has a story about your success, no matter what you do human beings are unpredictable, and what they say behind your back. What they plan to do to you is completely different from when they say ‘I’m happy for you.’ Now they want to plan on how to fill their empty cups in 2017. So that when I’m seen with a new bicycle it’s bought by Jubilee, they are planning to come to my home saying it was built by Jubilee.
“They will say the ballot boxes are hidden in my house so that the jealousy in them can be fulfilled. They can’t understand why Migori County loves me…,” she posted.
About her 2017 plans? Akothee quips that she wants to get married, give birth, finish her degree and release an album.
