Eminem takes on Trump on his new album

Eminem has dropped his ninth studio album, and politics is a huge theme throughout – particularly the rapper’s anger with President Donald Trump.

In various lyrics, Marshall Mathers calls Trump an ‘Aryan’, compares him to a ‘parrot’ who repeats Fox News content, and accuses him of playing golf with Ku Klux Klan members.

And fellow rapper Coolio is a bit worried about how Trump will react.

Coolio reckons more rappers will get political if Revival is a hit.

When asked by TMZ how he thought the POTUS would react, the Gangsta’s Paradise star said: ‘Who knows, man? Trump is a little bit… he’s a weirdo, so you know, he might do anything. He might have Eminem killed.’

The website noted that they couldn’t tell if Coolio was joking because he was wearing ‘mirrored shades’.

Revival received mixed reviews from some of Eminem’s fans, who were expecting hip-hop bangers rather than politically-charged statements.

Coolio, 54, said: ‘People just want to party and have fun and bullshit. Nobody wants to hear anything that’s stimulating in thought. We’ve been conditioned like that for a long time, especially the youngsters, they don’t want anything that’s controversial because they don’t have time for that.

‘This generation, I think they ready for something. It’s just got to take a couple of people to come out and do it. They follow each other.

‘When one cat come out and do something, they do what he does. Someone’s gotta get a hit record with something controversial then everyone will start doing it.’

Considering Revival is predicted to take the number one album spot for Christmas, we could see a spate of political verses winging our way.
