NASA leader is now claiming that the inclusion of Ekuru Aukot as a candidate in the forthcoming repeat polls is inconsequential.
Speaking on Wednesday morning during an interview at Radio Jambo, Raila said that the a decision made by the high court cannot overturn that of the supreme court.
He added tha this decision to withdraw from the race and calling for fresh elections in 90 days was unstoppable.
Following the nullification of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s reelection victory by the Supreme Court, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) announced that only Raila and Kenyatta would be on the ballot. This led to Aukot seeking the intervention of the court to have his name included on the ballot.
The High Court is set to make a ruling today on whether Aukot should be on the ballot in the repeat poll set for October 26.
