Nakuru County Youths are invited on Saturday 04th February 2016 from 10am – 6pm to a highly charged, daylong poetic, music and dance concert at the Nyayo Gardens grounds in Nakuru Town.
The event dubbed “RockENROLL #TribelessYouthConcert’ was an idea mooted to plug the high level of apathy exhibited by young people towards the Mass Voter Registration Exercise countrywide and is meant to encourage new youthful first time voters from the greater Nakuru County to register as voters for the forthcoming general elections on 08th August 2017.
The main musical acts for the day will be Amos & Josh, Khaligraph Jones, Ekodyda, Holidave and Nakuru’s finest Evie Vara amongst others. Churchill show’s Owago Nyiro, Omwami,, Wagithomo and Voboy will be emceeing the event, while Dj Edu and Dj Slim will be on the decks on the ones and twos.
The event organized by TribelessYouth™ – an online platform and youth movement that promotes participation of the young people in governance matters with a unity of purpose that transcends tribal, racial, political affiliation or any other sectarian interest and has a reach of 6 million youths weekly on social media in collaboration with Mulika Uchaguzi™ – a community based platform for monitoring and reporting crime and electoral malpractices with immense support from the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government, Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) and the National Cohesion and Integrated Commission.
During the event, the youths yet to register will be registered at the dedicated desks provided by IEBC and those registered will confirm their registration status.
