Nyashinski beats King Kaka, Calligraph to clinch PMVA awards


Music sensational Nyashinski on Thursday clinched the male artiste of the year award in the 2016 edition of Pulse Music Video Awards (PMVA) beating King Kaka, Calligraph, and Timmy.

The event which was held at Serena Hotel and organised by the Standard Media Group attracted artistes from all over the country.

Nyashinski who was awarded in absentia shocked many as he beat favorite rap sensational Calligraph Jones and King Kaka to the award as well as winning the most viewed video award.

Della with her hit song ‘Mafeelings’ beat Femi One to clinch the female artiste of the year.

Collabo video of the year award went to Gillad and Della while Sauti Sol’s ‘Live and Die in Africa’ won the best group video of the year.

The event was however different from other music awards ever held as Video directors were also recognized with Moses Osidiana winning the award.

This was the 2nd edition of the PMVA after being started last year. The awards are held to motivate the local artistes and promote the Kenyan music.
