Their is anxiety in the NASA coalition secretariat after it was suspected that a member of the opposition has been leaking confidential information to Jubilee.
According to our sources, the latest secret to be leaked was Raila Odinga’s plan to withdraw from the October 26th repeat Presidential Election. The information is said to have been leaked to Jubilee party before it was officially announced.
“President Uhuru Kenyatta was the first one to speak about Raila’s withdrawal from the race two days before while he was at the Coast.
“Then it was a chorus from other Jubilee leaders and their social media spin doctors. We suspect we have moles in our midst or Uhuru is using National Intelligence Service to penetrate our operations,” the source was quoted by the Standard.
Before Raila Odinga announced his withdrawal from the presidential race, President Uhuru Kenyatta had hinted the move. The same sentiments were echoed by Elgeyo Marakwet senator Kipchumba Murkomen on live television.
Raila Odinga later announced that he had decided to pull out of the presidential race.
However, IEBC has announced that Odinga did not officially withdraw from the race since he did not sign form 24A as required by the law.
According to IEBC, Elections will proceed on 26th October as planned.
